From Maui to Oahu: Hawaii (day 5)

Explorer's note: Haleakala Crater sunrise
Explorer's note: On our way to the crater sunrise, we passed a large fire, which we are guessing is the burning of the sugar cane....
Honolua Bay is a wonderful place for snorkeling, and one that we were not able to snorkel in during this visit. The water is clear and the bay is quieter than reefs located on shorelines.
Explorer's note: This is the view from the Navy base on Ford Island where we stayed during our trip on Ohau.

I AM SPEECHLESS...I can't begin to express what my eyes were trying to tell my heart and what my heart was trying to tell my brain...WOW and Awesome are just too mild. You have captured world class photos that I would have never been able to experience even if I would had gone there myself. Truly your vision is deeper than the eye itself. You are the tour-guide that has captured the moments and experiences that will be discussed for a lifetime. Thank you for taking my eyes on your trip and allowing me to have the ooohs and the ahhhs without putting all the physical effort that you must have worked through. I appreciate great art and these pics deserve the same frames that grace the works of the Masters.
these are all so gorgeous that I have a hard time believing that this is all real.
Dad, Thank you. Your encouragement means so much to me.
Barbara, I know what you mean, I'm over here, and it doesn't seem real to me either. :)
WOW TJ!! THESE ARE AN AMAZING SET OF IMAGES!!! I really hope to go back to Hawaii someday especially to the University of Hawaii Astronomy Observatory like near the one at the crater sunrise, I think it is just at the bottom south eastern tip of Honolulu... Hope you had fun (haha I KNOW you did) and hope to see some MORE wonderful images soon!
