Brian & Angela: wedding album highlights (Columbia, SC)

When we shoot a wedding, I'm always keeping an inner eye on the album I'm creating with the images. I'm not shooting to merely document an event, I'm shooting to create a story that will follow an order providing a cohesiveness to the whole event captured. There's several ways to do this depending on the style of the photographer. For us, creating moments rather than waiting for them to happen creates more interesting pictures than mere documentation. Don't get me wrong documentation is great, I'm just saying that a blend of documentation while creating "ideal portrait moments" generates some fascinating results. The images below are highlights from the ablum we created for Brian & Angela. You can see the flow of the images, as well as ways we were able to design with them. Sometimes this means a single image may not be as exciting as several images put together in a layout. This is what I mean by "shooting for the album". The part makes up a better whole. Some images are intended to stand alone, while others are purposely created to make a unique album layout.
