horne wedding & creative session

Here's more of Ben and Stephanie's day. They shared so much emotion with us that day! We love it!! Couples who come to us want creative and beautiful images, and we remind them that we are only half of the equation. Letting go, and letting your true emotions show, is a very important aspect to great photo journalistic shots.

Along with their wedding day, I also show some images from their creative session. I meant for it to come off very experimental with a high fashion feel. Reminiscent of shots you'd see in today's top fashion magazines, they also remind me of shots taken for various music groups. It's what our creative session is all about; taking you outside the norm and ramping things up a few notches for something truly unique.

fountain of youth

It's an honor when someone asks us to do their wedding. For me, people in love is a promise & vision of something special; something that still exist from the days of eden. And I think it's that indescribable "bigness" that fills me with wonder, BECAUSE it is something larger than myself. Here we celebrate Josh's and Amy's love, in front of the fountain at Poinsett Hotel. I love my job. I love creating art. And remember, don't hire us because you want a photographer, hire us because you want an artist!

wonder today.... be fuller today

I love what we do. And I wish others to enjoy our images as well. But almost more than that, I hope our images will inspire each of you to find a creative space in your day to think differently; to wonder. Wonder can become a child's pastime and a lost art. It is something that, I believe, keeps us feeling alive and gives us the freedom to feel fuller with each day, even in it's routine. I will admit, I can be bogged down with the "routine" like anyone else, and I seek inspiration in others often; whether it be from an author, an illustrator, or even other photographers.

I believe we should all strive to be more rounded. I'm not saying we should deny the fact we each have gifts and leanings in certain areas, such as analytic vs' creative, I'm saying that whichever way we lean, we should strive to "cross-over", seeking new ground and inspiration to add to the fullness of our lives.

The images below are some of my favorites from the stanley wedding we recently had the joy of shooting. "Creatives" themselves, we felt at home as we infused their wedding with as much creativity as possibly. We strive to do this with each and every shoot, and I hope future couples looking for a photographer can see the passion and "wonder" we strive to fill our sessions with.

live. inspire. create something.
